OAK PARK – The Illinois State police reported at 3:15 p.m. that Illinois State Police Troopers are on scene of an expressway shooting on I-290 eastbound at Austin Boulevard.
The Illinois State Police reported that eastbound traffic is being diverted onto Harlem Avenue, and that the Harlem Avenue ramp is currently shut down for canvassing. Apparently traffic is being diverted before Harlem Avenue — possibly at Harrison Street, west of Des Plaines Avenue in Forest Park.
Eastbound I-290 traffic was backed up to about Mannheim Road (US-45) at 3:35 p.m.
