McHenry County Sheriff’s deputies, and firefighters and paramedics from Nunda Rural Fire Protection responded Wednesday night, August 25,2021 to a report of a motorcycle crash with injuries in the block of 2600 S Justen Road in unincorporated McHenry in McHenry County.
The crash involved a single motorcycle accident when the motorcycle went off the roadway and rolled over, critically injuring both the driver, Timothy Barry, age 50, of McHenry; and a passenger, Tanya Davidson, age 50, of Wonder Lake woman. Both eventually died from their injuries; Barry succumbed to blunt force injuries and died on September 1, 2021, according to Lake County Coroner Jennifer Banek.
According to the investigation, the driver was going too fast for conditions and failed to navigate a left turn curve, causing the motorcycle to leave the road to the right shoulder.
Both the driver and passenger sustained critical injuries, and died two days later.
Timothy Barry was pronounced dead on August 27, 2021.
Tanya Davidson was also pronounced dead on August 27, 2021
