Police and firefighter/paramedics from Louisville responded about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2025 to a report of an aircraft crash at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport.
A UPS plane crashed just after takeoff with an explosion on the ground at Louisville’s International Airport. There is a long crash and debris path in a commercial or industrial area just south of the airport.
The flight was headed to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu, according to the FAA.
Pieces of the engine were visible on the runway, and the aircraft appeared to be on fire during takeoff on the port side (left side).
FAA and NTSB will investigate.
