A drive-by shooting occurred Sunday night, July 6, 2025 in Prospect Heights, but the Prospect Heights Police Department has not provided any public notification via social media confirming the shooting, or any details over 24 hours after the shooting that occurred in a high-crime apartment neighborhood just south of Palatine Road and Chicago Executive Airport.
Police, firefighters and paramedics from Prospect Heights responded about 8:50 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2025 to a report of an apparent shooting in the block of 500 Wimbledon Circle in Prospect Heights. The victim was reported on the ground next to a white car. Witnesses on scene reported the victim suffered at least three gunshot wounds.
An offender or offenders may have fled in a white van from the area of Love Drive, Wimbledon Circle and Apple Drive.
The shooting victim was transported to Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge with extra paramedics on board the ambulance.
