Crash with Light Pole on I-90 Near Arlington Heights Rd: Driver Walks Away Near Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 5:27 AM Monday to a report of crash involving a light pole 42.036194,-87.973841 (I-90 WB Arlington Heights, IL. Illinois State police received a report that a car hit a light pole and was in a ditch. IDOT maintenance discovered the vehicle on westbound I-90 at about the 71.25 mile marker, just east of the Arlington Heights Road interchange.

Police discovered a white Scion with no driver on scene. Several sections of guardrail were destroyed and a light pole was knocked over. The vehicle was recovered from the scene and towed to a police holding area.
