Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded just before 3:00 PM Sunday to a bomb threat at Palatine High School, 1111 North Rohlwing Road Palatine, IL. Police received a report of a bomb threat. No evidence of a bomb was discovered, and the commencement ceremony was not interrupted. There was no evacuation at the school.
Multiple police agencies have responded to Palatine High School. Staging for police personnel was at Virginia Lake School.
Graduation commencement was scheduled for Sunday in the Main Gym at 2:00 p.m.
Police received a report that a threat was read online, and police investigated the nature of the threat. Initially police are not releasing the name of the website.
