VIDEO: Multiple law agencies on traffic stop on Route 53 for possible kidnapping out of Elmhurst.
Police activity about 10:20 p.m. Tuesday on Route 53, just north of Northwest Highway (Route 14) for an emergency traffic stop involving a possible kidnapping out of Elmhurst.
Suspect in custody and victim apparently safe surrounded by about fifteen police cars, from agencies including Arlington Heights, Cook County Sheriff, Elmhurst and others.
At least two right lanes were blocked during the traffic stop.
