Police, Paramedics Treat Two Patients with CPR Outside Restaurant/Bar in Mundelein

Police, firefighters and paramedics from Mundelein responded about 10:42 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2022 to a report that indicated two unconscious people had possibly overdosed outside or near an establishment “Oak Trail Taphouse” at 408 North Lake Street in Mundelein.




Police were administrating CPR on two patients before firefighters and paramedics arrived. Firefighters and paramedics on arrival discovered two patients in cardiac and respiratory arrest, and began CPR and Advanced Life Support.

Both patients were transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center. Overdoses were not confirmed by officials in any public information statement, and initially the condition of each patient was unknown.

At least one Lake County Sheriff’s deputy was also on the scene.
