VIDEO: Truck hits car at southbound Haddow Avenue and Westbound Euclid Avenue.
Arlington Heights police responded about 12:52 PM Tuesday to property damage crash involving truck and a car at Euclid Avenue and Haddow Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. A dump truck usedlk at a residential construction site a couple of blocks from the intersection failed to stop for cross traffic at Euclid Avenue and Haddow Avenue. The truck was southbound on Haddow Avenue when the driver disobeyed a stop sign and hit a sedan that was headed westbound on Euclid Avenue.
The driver of the sedan said it was too late for her to stop, and she sounded her horn when she realized the truck was entering the intersection. The damage impact area on the sedan was the front passenger door, not front-end damage — indicating additional blame on the truck driver for failure to yield in addition to failing to stop at the stop sign.
No injuries were reported, but the vehicles were wedged together in the westbound lane of Euclid Avenue.
Apparently the truck driver was issued a traffic citation, but appeared to be arguing against receiving the ticket on the scene.

@ Paula — Actually, we’d hope that Apple’s auto-correction and auto-complete would be little more accurate by now. Some of these articles are written from a remote/mobile position in the dark. The words “arguing” and “receiving” were intended, but were not the actual output by the device. Thanks for the notice.
The grammar police are everywhere even when what’s written is obvious. Comments like these fill up message boards across the world! lol!
