Gunshot Victim in the Crowd South of the US Capitol; Young Woman Was Shot Inside US Capitol

The protest situation at the U.S. Capitol has turned violent inside and outside the U.S. Capitol.

Public safety personnel reported one person shot at the U.S. Capitol about 1:51 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2021. There was a message that EMS personnel would not go into the crowd, but that security personnel personnel needed to bring the gunshot victim out to EMS staging nearby.

Woman Shot Inside US Capitol Has Died After Video Captured the Instant She Was Shot, and the Immediate First Aid that Was Given to Her

There is an armed standoff at the doors of the House Chamber. Intruders entered the Senate Chamber. It was not initially confirmed whether intruders entered the House Chamber.

Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser issued a 6:00 p.m. as a result of the violence.

Another video showed the woman being rushed off on a gurney with a bloodied endotracheal tube with one paramedic squeezing an ambu-bag connected to the endotracheal tube, and another paramedic performing CPR (video directly below/viewer discretion).
