On the morning of Wednesday August 26, 2020 Kenosha County authorities issued an arrest warrant for suspect Kyle Rittenhouse, age 17 of Antioch, in a shooting incident in the area of Sheridan Road and 61st Street, charging him with First Degree Intentional Homicide. The suspect in this incident, a 17-year-old Antioch resident, is currently in custody of the Lake County Judicial System pending an extradition hearing to transfer custody from Illinois to Wisconsin.

The suspect was recorded on numerous videos shared on social media during the third night of rioting overnight Tuesday/Wednesday.
Multiple shots were fired, but also gunshots were heard on video when the suspect was not seen shooting on the video. Additionally there are other suspects apparently at large that were involved in firing weapons in the vicinity of fatal shootings that occurred about 11:45 p.m. to 11:50 p.m.
