Police and firefighter/paramedics from Schaumburg responded about 1:49 p.m. Wednesday July 8, 2020 to a report of a fuel leak on Route 53 near I-90, but the incident was actually near Algonquin Road.
Schaumburg firefighters on arrival reported a fuel tanker truck leaking fuel on the bridge of northbound Route 53 over Algonquin Road.
Winds were 5 MPH and variable at 1:51 p.m. and have been calm the past two hourly observations according to the National Weather Service at O’Hare International Airport.
