Chicago Fire Department Engine 126’s crew was on a medical run with an ambulance at the Symphony of South Shore, 2425 East South Shore Drive when the roof of the lot collapsed and the front wheels of the fire engine fell through the hole created by the collapse at about 10:27 a.m. Tuesday August 6, 2019. The hole is at least about 12 feet by 25 feet. There were no injuries reported.

Chicago Fire Department activated a Building Collapse Response and a Still and Box Alarm. The fire engine appears to be held up by the bumper on one edge and the under-carriage behind the front wheels on the other edge of the hole.
