#ad▼

Lake County Sheriff’s deputies responded about 10:35 a.m. Thursday May 16, 2019 to a report of shots fired into a townhouse in the block of 12900 West Wakefield Drive, Beach Park. Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived and confirmed that shooter was not longer at the scene, and that nobody was struck by gunfire. Lake County Sheriff’s learned that the offender fled from the area in a vehicle — possibly a white Buick LaCrosse sedan.

Shots were fire from a handgun.

Out of an abundance of caution, some schools went on a ‘soft lock-down.’

Evidence Technicians processed the scene for evidence and the incident is under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Today’s shots fired call is located in the same block where a man sustained a minor gunshot wound when two males were not permitted to enter a party on Friday December 21, 2018 about 11:15 p.m.; and a short time later the males returned and began shooting at the townhouse.
