While investigating the Taco Bell cash theft, police determined the description matched a female offender that had just tried to take money from cash registers at a Culver’s three miles east at 451 East Route 173.

Five days later, police were dispatched again to Culver’s on Friday March 22, 2019 when employees reported that the female offender had returned. This time she was armed with a pellet gun.

Antioch police report that when officers arrived at 8:04 p.m. Friday, the female offender was sitting at a table with the pellet gun tucked into her waistband. Just before police officers arrived, the female offender gave the cashier a note demanding money.

Police identified the female offender as 21 year-old Lake Geneva resident Delores R. Hillary, who was detained as police investigated the incident, and found an alleged accomplice in the parking lot.

Police also discovered that Delores R. Hillary was driven to Culver’s by a friend, Joseph Shaffer. He was still in his car in the Culver’s parking lot when police arrived, and eventually police officers met him in the parking lot. Hillary and Shaffer were both arrested and transported to Antioch Police Department headquarters.

Delores R. Hillary was charged with armed robbery, aggravated robbery and burglary. Her bond was set at $200,000.

Joseph Shaffer was charged with being an accomplice to aggravated robbery. His bond was set at $75,000.
