Lake Zurich police responded about 2:51 PM Saturday March 23, 2019 to an an attempted armed robbery at 487 South Rand Road Lake Zurich, IL. Police received a report that a male offender attempted a robbery at or near the Lake Zurich Citgo.
Initially information was not available regarding weather the suspect attempted to rob the gas station or a person at or near the gas station.
The suspect was described as a male/black 24 years-old, 5”4″ muscular build, black short hair, wearing a brown T-shirt and gray athletic pants, armed with a black handgun.
The suspect was last seen fleeing southbound through the parking lot.
The crime is reported to have occurred 2:50 p.m.
