Transitional Care of Arlington Heights, 1200 North Arlington Heights Road, is a recipient of Pinnacle Quality Insight’s 2019 Customer Experience Award™ for providing best-in-class, short-term rehabilitative service and care to patients who are recovering from acute and chronic conditions and bridging the distance between hospital and home.

To earn this recognition for outstanding customer service, Transitional Care of Arlington Heights scored in the top 15 percent in the nation based on a sampling of patient and family written surveys and telephone interviews with regard to their experiences at the recovery center over a 12-month average.

Managed by the Illinois-based Transitional Care Management, the 120-bed center is the first purpose-built, stand-alone, post-acute care center in the northwest Chicago suburbs. It offers an alternative to a nursing home-based rehabilitation services and provides short-term skilled nursing and physical, occupational and speech rehabilitation for patients who are transitioning out of the hospital or other acute care settings.

“By providing not only highly specialized short-term rehabilitative support but also exceptional customer service, we improve patients’ outlook on care, increase their satisfaction and ultimately further support their journey toward recovery,” said Denise Norman, President of Transitional Care Management.

Earlier this year, Great Place to Work Institute, an independent research and consulting firm, also honored Transitional Care of Arlington Heights with certification as a “Great Place to Work” following the evaluation of more than 60 elements of team members’ experiences on the job like employee pride in the organization’s community impact and feeling that their work has special meaning.

“We value our Crew and all they do to make our guests feel comfortable and help them heal.” said Norman. “Workplace satisfaction directly contributes to a better patient experience and improved results, making Transitional Care not only a great place to work, but a better place to recover.”

Area residents who anticipate upcoming surgery can plan ahead for total recovery by talking to their doctor, scheduling a tour by calling 847-392-9000 and pre-registering for post-acute care prior to hospitalization.
