Elk Grove Village police, Illinois State Police and Elk Grove Village firefighter/paramedics responded about 12:44 PM Friday March 1, 2019 to a report of a rollover truck crash with four other vehicles involved on northbound Route 53/I-290 and Biesterfield Road Elk Grove Village, Il. The first Elk Grove Village fire crew on arrival reported a crash with a box truck on its side in the northbound lanes directly under the Biesterfield Road bridge, and a little north of the bridge.
Initially an unknown number of passenger vehicles were reported involved in the crash.
One patient transported to a nearby hospital.
All lanes were blocked until about 1:45 p.m. when a towing crew was uprighting the truck.
