Two Thefts, Two Victims in 15 Minutes at the Salvation Army Store On West Rand Rd, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 4:00 PM Saturday of theft at Salvation Army, 250 W. Rand Road. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders removed a bronze colored purse from a shopping cart while the owner was in the bathroom. The purse contained a Boost mobile smart phone valued at $175, a driver’s license and approximately $1,000 cash.

Police also received a report that an unknown offender or offender also removed a wallet from a purse left in a shopping cart. The wallet was found under some clothes left in an aisle. A debit card and $5 in cash was missing from the wallet.

Both crimes are reported to have occurred on Saturday, December 22, 2012 between 3:45 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
