Arlington Heights police responded about 4:33 PM Monday November 12, 2018 and firefighter/paramedics, a while later, to a case involving a male that was suspected of being injured when he tried to avoid being arrested for retail theft at Kohl’s, 800 West Dundee Road Arlington Heights, Il. Police received a report that a male suspect in a retail theft case possibly attempted to steal jewelry. A witness familiar with the case of attempted retail theft told Cardinal News on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 that when police arrived Monday they discovered that the suspect possibly seriously injured himself while trying to hide jewelry in his rectum to avoid being arrested for retail theft.
Police called paramedics to the scene when they learned the suspect may have injured himself.
Initially police are not publicly confirming whether a suspect arrested on Monday actually inserted jewelry into his rectum. Police also would not confirm whether the suspect may have falsely claimed to have hidden jewelry in his rectum.
A police record lists an arrest at Kohl’s, 800 Dundee Road on Monday afternoon on November 12, 2018. Police arrested Adam Scott Wolf, age 21, of Buffalo Grove. Wolf was arrested and charged with Retail Theft at 4:45 p.m. Adam Scott Wolf was released on I-Bond, and is scheduled to appear at Cook County Circuit Court Rolling Meadows on Thursday, November 29, 2018.
Cardinal News was able to obtain an additional independent source that confirmed that a shoplifting suspect on Monday afternoon was initially suspected of having hidden jewelry in his anus or rectum. Neither source knew the outcome.
All suspects are presumed innocent of all accusations unless found guilty in a court of law.
