Pin-In Crash on Route 53 at Interstate 90 and Separate Crash Just South of Euclid Ave Injures at Least 6

Schaumburg firefighter/paramedics responded about 6:10 PM Thursday to a pin-in crash on northbound Route 53 in the local lanes near Interstate 90. Schaumburg firefighter/paramedics responded with three ambulances and transported five people to area hospitals. Two people refused medical help and signed refusals. One person was pinned in a vehicle against a divider wall, and was quickly extricated.

A second crash occurred minutes later about one-quarter mile north of the first crash scene. At least one person was injured in that crash, which was managed by Rolling Meadows firefighter/paramedics.
