DuPage County officials released the name of a male shooting victim, who was found shot during the early morning hours of Sunday June 3, 2018 on Lake Street near Wheaton Road in unincorporated Roselle.
DuPage County Sheriff’s Deputies responded during the early morning hours Sunday June 3, 2018 to a shooting death of Sanchez Townes-Elliot in the block of 24W700 Lake Street near the intersection of Lake Street and Wheaton Road in unincorporated Roselle.
As of Wednesday, officials would only say that a they were conducting an investigation into the death of Sanchez Townes-Elliott, who was found dead June 3 near Lake Street and Wheaton Road.
Initially the DuPage County Sheriff’s office confirmed a victim died of a gunshot wound, but as of Wednesday July 4, 2018 did not say whether the death was being investigating as a homicide. Additionally as of Wednesday, no age or hometown for the victim was released.
DuPage County Sheriff’s investigators said the shooting was isolated and that there is no immediate danger to the public.
