Two Bike Thefts from East Bike Rack at Downtown Metra Train Station, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 9:05:33 AM Monday of a theft of two bicycles at the Metra downtown train station, 45 West Northwest Highway Police received a report that two bicycles were locked on the bike rack on the east side of the train station. Bike #1 was described as a navy blue Raleigh 2.5 Detour 21-speed 17-inch men’s bicycle (valued $375). The bike had a black kickstand and an old Panasonic seat.

Bike #2 that was reported stolen was a gray Nishiki Pueblo 7-speed 17-inch men’s bicycle value at $400. The bike has black handlebars.

One bike was locked with a chain lock ($15) and one bike was locked with a u-shaped $30.

The crime is reported to have occurred Wednesday, September 12, 2012 between 10:00 a.m. and 10:16 p.m.
