Buffalo Grove police responded about 6:12 p.m. Thursday to a check-for-well-being call of a protected female at a Buffalo Grove residence. An offender apparently traveled in a prohibited Geographic Exclusion Zone.

Sentinel GPS Services advised that an offender was within 2,500 feet of a female subject who he is prohibited from being near by order of protection. The offender tracking service requested that police check on the well being of the subject. The subject stated she was fine. When the offender was located near the northeast side of Buffalo Grove, he stated that he had driven to a currency exchange and was going home.

No word on any arrests or charges.
