Attached Residential Garage Fire on South Stuart Lane, Palatine

Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 11:48 p.m. Thursday to a fire in an attached garage in the 600 block of South Stuart Lane. Firefighters received a report of black smoke and flames showing from the garage. First firefighters on the scene reported smoke showing from the garage door. Firefighters were working on a fire in the garage. Firefighters attacked the attached garage fire from an inside door before opening the exterior garage door.

The fire was extinguished by about 12:08 a.m. Friday.

Rolling Meadows Fire Department assisted Palatine firefighters.
