UPDATE: Pea-size hail reported near Hintz Road. House fire in the 900 block of Green Avenue, Deerfield after an apparent lightning strike about 9:00 a.m.

Moderate-to-severe thunderstorm developing to the west and north of Arlington Heights. Except cloud-to-ground lightning and brief, heavy downpour by 10:00 a.m. Radar indicates the the northwest suburbs are at the southern tip of thunderstorms that are heading east. The line of storms extends to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and north of Milwaukee Wisconsin.
