Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport Bomb Scare After Suspicious Bag Found at Humphrey Terminal

The Humphrey Terminal at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport was evacuated about 5:30 a.m. CDT Friday after a suspicious bag was found in the baggage screening area. The Bloomington, Minnesota police bomb squad responded to the scene to investigate.

Early reports are that some type of early screening tested positive for explosive — not confirmed.

Humphrey Terminal (Concourse H or Terminal 2-Humphrey) is configured with gates for charter airlines and low cost carriers, including Spirit Airlines, Sun Country, AirTran Airways, and Southwest Airlines.

The terminal re-opened and resumed normal operations at about 7:00 p.m. CDT.
