Kane County Sheriff Announced Suspect in Custody
Michigan City police, Indiana State police and Illinois State police were involved in a high speed chase about 3:00 p.m. that began in Michigan City, Indiana. In Illinois the chase was northbound on I-294 and westbound on I-88. The pursuit continued northbound on Route 31 near North Aurora. About 3:25 p.m. the pursuit was westbound on Main Street, west of Batavia.
Police were chasing a male driver in a tan Chevrolet Suburban. The suspect was captured after he crashed at Hughes and Oakwood in Elburn, Illinois. Kane County Sheriff announced the suspect was in custody after a foot pursuit.
