Woman Arrested After Attempting to Pickup Fraudulent Prescription at Walgreens on East Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police responded about 9:03 p.m. Tuesday to a report of fraudulent activity at Walgreens, 1000 East Northwest Highway. Police received a report of a repeated problem with a female attempting to pickup a fraudulent prescription.

Police received a report that a female/white was in the drive-thru in a black Mercedes SUV. Police blocked both lanes of the drive thru and investigated the woman. The physician whose signature was on the prescription was contacted and the prescription was reported to be forged. The female was arrested suspected of attempting to fill a fraudulent prescription and transported in custody to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters. The woman’s Mercedes SUV ML 320 was towed to a police holding area.
