An 11-year-old Arkansas girl is found by authorities with a chain around her ankles and a dog leash holding her to a bed. Her father was arrested and now faces charges.
Michael Gilman was arrested and charged with false imprisonment and first degree endangering the welfare of a minor after police responded to a 9-1-1 call, and found the 11-year-old girl chained to her bed by her ankle in Gilman’s home in Sharp County, Arkansas.
Gilman said he had problems with disciplining the girl, who he claimed would get up in the middle of the night and sometimes go door-to-door in the neighborhood.
Three children in the family transferred to care of social services. The daughters are home schooled, and a 6-year-old son attends public school.
