Residential Burglary on South Reuter, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 8:41 p.m. Monday of a burglary in the 400 block of South Reuter. Police received a report that residents arrived home and found the residence burglarized. The residents waited outside until police checked inside to make sure the offender was not still in the residence.

An unknown offender or offenders kicked in the north side entry door and entered the residence. They ransacked two bedrooms and the family room. The following items missing were removed from the master bedroom: jewelry box with costume jewelry and two white gold and diamond wedding band sets valued at $3,500 each along with a women’s Rolex watch with an unknown value. The damage to the steel door is estimated at $500.

The crime is reported to have occurred between 8:00 a.m. and 8:40 p.m. on Monday, January 16th, 2012.

An evidence technician was called to the scene.
