Retail Theft Suspect Arrested After Fleeing from Marshalls

Schaumburg police responded about 7:15 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a shoplifter that fled Marshalls, 1488 East Golf Road. Police received a report that a retail theft suspect was uncooperative with loss control personnel outside the door. Police also received a report that the suspect pushed loss prevention personnel away and then fled toward Golf Road. Loss control continued follow the suspect and updated police with their location.

The offender was described as a female/black wearing all black. She allegedly took merchandise without paying and then tried to return the merchandise for credit.

Schaumburg apprehended a 30-year-old female near Golf Road and Meacham Road. The suspect was apprehended by Schaumburg police near Friday’s, but on the north side of Golf Road.
