Chicago Fire Department responded about 3:00 a.m. to a fire at a Chinese restaurant, at 521 South Cicero Avenue — C & P Fried Rice. The fire response was elevated to a 2-11 Alarm fire in the South Austin neighborhood near Eisenhower Expressway.
No injuries were reported. About 100 firefighters fought the fire at the one-story brick building. Two adjacent two-story buildings had minor damage. The fire was extinguished by 5:45 a.m.
