Offending Hit-and-Run Vehicle at Durty Nellie’s Found at Lamplighters About 95 Minutes Later

Palatine police responded about 1:18 a.m. Friday to a report of a hit-and-run property damage crash at Durty Nellies, 180 North Smith Street. Police received a report that a victim’s Chevy Cobalt was hit by a silver sedan. Palatine police were investigating the registration of the offending vehicle, and discovered the vehicle parked near Lamplighter Inn Tavern & Grille about 3:05 a.m. Friday.

Palatine police arrested a female near Lamplighter Inn & Tavern at about 3:28 a.m. Friday — presumably the driver of the offending hit-and-run vehicle. The female was transported in custody to Palatine Police Department Headquarters. The driver’s vehicle was towed to a police holding area.
