Domestic Battery Suspect Arrest After Spotted Walking Near Northwest Highway and Arlington Heights Rd

Arlington Heights police responded about 9:26 p.m. Saturday to a report of a domestic battery in the 0-99 block of North Dryden. Police received a report that a woman’s boyfriend battered the woman and left the scene. The offender was described as a male/white, heavyset, wearing a black shirt with a gray and yellow jacket and carrying a black backpack.

An alert police officer reported he just saw the suspect walking westbound on Northwest Highway near Roger Grandt Shell gas station. The police officer doubled back and found the suspect within a minute near Northwest Highway and Arlington Heights Road.

The suspect was transported in custody to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters. The victim was also transported to police headquarters for the domestic battery investigation.
