Attached Garage Fire Extinguished by Sprinkler System, Knocked by FD on Oak St, Mt. Prospect

Mount Prospect police and firefighter/paramedics responded about responded about 8:10 p.m. Monday to a report of an attached garage on fire in the 400 block of Oak Street, Mount Prospect. Police were first on the scene and reported a definite working fire. Firefighters arrived and reported heavy smoke from the garage.

The homeowners reported the house was equipped with a sprinkler system. Most of the fire was extinguished by the home sprinkler system. The fire was declared “out” at 8:20 p.m. A fire investigator was called to the scene.

No reports of any injuries.
