Buffalo Grove police received a report in the 1200 block of West Dundee Road that an unknown offender or offenders made unauthorized withdrawals from a woman’s checking account. One withdrawal for $503.00 took place in Buffalo Grove.
Additional withdrawals occurred in Oakbrook, Skokie, New York, Wisconsin, Wheeling, Palatine and Westmont. Total withdrawals are reported to be approximately $21,400.00. The Chicago FBI field office is investigating some of the transactions. The bank card has been cancelled, according to Buffalo Grove police.
The crimes are reported to have occurred between July 11, 2011 and September 6, 2011.
