Palatine police have released a man who investigation has found he defended himself after being kicked in the head by stabbing victim, Eduard Guillen Tellez. An unnamed man stabbed Eduard Guillen Tellez to death about 8:07 p.m. Monday in the 1300 block of North Ports O’Call off of Rand Road. Police report no charges would be filed in the stabbing death of 22-year-old Eduardo Guillen Tellez.
Police said Tellez and two other men began beating the 29-year-old victim who defended himself. Tellez was the lead aggressor. At one point, Tellez was kicking the man in the head.
The Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney’s Office declined to file charges,” according to a statement from the Palatine Police Department.
