Vehicle Burglary in Progress, Caller Give Wrong Address as South Busse

Mount Prospect police responded about 2:11 a.m. Tuesday to a report of a vehicle burglary in progress in the 1500 block of South Busse Road. Police received a report that a vehicle owner could see a subject breaking into his pickup truck, and responded within two minutes. Police did not seen anyone in the parking lot when they arrived.

The caller gave the wrong address with the initial call, and police discovered the scene in the 1500 block of South Cottonwood.

Entry was not made into the pickup truck, but the subjects attempted to open the door of the truck. The subjects fled when they saw the owner look out the window. Two male/Hispanics were observed by the caller. One subject was wearing a blue shirt, and one subject was wearing a white shirt.
