Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 11:09 p.m. Friday to a stabbing near the Subway in the 100 block of North Smith Street. Police reported they had a male offender in custody immediately upon arrival. Palatine firefighter/paramedics transported the stabbing victim to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
