Attempted Residential Burglary to Vacant House

Arlington Heights police received a report of criminal damage to a residence in the 1500 block of West Oakton Street. Police received a report that a brick was used to strike the rear door lock, a stick used to tear a window screen, and a west side door lock was damaged. Police also received a report that two juveniles were seen running from the rear of the vacant residence on August 8, 2011 between 9:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. The offenders were descirbed as (#1) Short with gray hooded sweatshirt, and (#2) a taller subject with a black hooded sweatshirt.

The damage is reported to have occurred between August 8, 2011 at 9:30pm and August 10, 2011 at 7:46pm.
