Arlington Heights police received a report of a burglary to vehicle in an apartment parking lot in the 2400 Block of East Oakton Street. An unknown offender or offenders entered the secured 2007 Chevy Aveo (windows down 1-2 inches), searched the glove compartment, slashed the cloth driver’s seat, punctured the in-dash radio faceplate and removed a “Leatherman” tool.
The crime is reported to have occurred between Saturday, July 30th, 2011 at 3:30pm and Sunday, July 31st, 2011 at 7:30am.
