Arlington Heights police received a report that an offender used “Mummy Smoke” bombs to damage front porches on two residences in the 700 Block of North Forrest Avenue. The police received a report that an offender used “Mummy Smoke” smoke bombs available as “legal fireworks” in some retail stores in the area, including Walgreens. Inside the “legal” fireworks assortment is a box about 3″ X 3″ X 6″ that says “Mummy Smoke” on the outside.
The crime is reported to have occurred on Friday, June 3rd, 2011 at approximately 9:45pm., and an image of the suspect was captured on video surveillance.
The offender is described as a female/white, heavyset, possibly 55+ years of age, with dark-colored hair pulled back in a bun.
