Impersonating a Police Officer Near Elmhurst and Euclid

Arlington Heights police were alerted about 8:00 p.m. Saturday to be on the lookout for a suspicious person possibly impersonating a police officer. Police received a report that a man entered a park near Euclid Avenue and Elmhurst Road in Mount Prospect/Prospect Heights area and told people to leave the park. The incident was reported to have occurred about 7:50 p.m. or 7:55 p.m.

The subject was described as a male/white, heavy set, with a beard, and wearing all black clothing. There was an American flag logo on the shoulder of his shirt, and he also was carrying a badge.

The subject was driving a silver Chevrolet Impala with temporary license tags that was last seen heading westbound toward Arlington Heights Road.
