Tornado Chase Videos in Oklahoma from Tuesday, May 24, 2011

During the May 24, 2011 high risk outbreak, storm chasers John Esterheld, Nicole and Don Giuliano and Heidi Farrar tracked a large wedge tornado from eastern Caddo County into Canadian county in central Oklahoma. This long-tracked destructive tornado eventually grew to roughly one mile wide before crossing Interstate 40 near El Reno and continued northeast toward the communities of Calumet, Piedmont and points northeast.

Footage of a half-mile-wide wedge tornado in northern Caddo County, Oklahoma on May 24, 2011, shot by storm chasers Chris McBee and Shane Carmack. This tornado continued into Canadian County and did extensive damage there as well. Parts of this video were seen on The Weather Channel and is available for licensing.
