Minivan Fire, Two Adults, Small Child Escape on Dryden

Textbook firefighting with full protective gear and a with a quick knockdown of a minivan fire on Dryden near Mariano’s Fresh Market.

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 12:50 p.m. Monday to a minivan fire on Dryden, just south of Kensington Road. The van was fully involved, but firefighters extinguished the fire within minutes.

A male driver and female adult passenger noticed smoke while they were pulling out of Mariano’s driveway. Within seconds the fire was roaring from the front of the minivan. The two adults and a small child escaped with no injuries.
