Financial Strategist Joe Battipaglia, 55, Dead from Apparent Heart Attack

Joe Battipaglia, a chief market strategist at Stifel Nicolaus, died suddenly Thursday at age 55 of an apparent heart attack. Battipaglia was a well-known financial contributor to CNBC and FOX Business offering his views on stocks. Battipaglia was also the chief investment officer of Washington Crossing Advisors.

At 6’7” height and 300-pounds, Joe was called by many a soft-spoken and gracious “gentle giant.”
