Liz Taylor Dead: Congestive Heart Failure at Cedars-Sinai Hospital, Los Angeles

Screen legend Elizabeth Taylor died Wednesday in Los Angeles. She was 79. Publicist Sally Morrison says the actress died Wednesday morning at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center from congestive heart failure.

Oscar winning actress Elizabeth Taylor, 79, died Wednesday March 23, 2011 of congestive heart failure at Los Angeles, Calif.’s Cedars-Sinai Hospital.

In addition to her children, Taylor is survived by 10 grand children and four great grandchildren. Morrison said that a private family funeral will be held later this week. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that contributions be made to the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.
