DUI Arrest After Citizen Calls in Suspect DUI Driver at Oakton and Arlington Heights Rd

Arlington Heights police arrested a DUI driver about 10:05 PM Saturday after a motorist called in a suspected DUI driver southbound on Arlington Heights Road from Oakton Street. Police received a report from a motorist that a driver of a black CRV appeared intoxicated as the vehicle was swerving all over the road, continuing southbound on Arlington Heights Road.

The driver was able to give updates of the location of the vehicle on south Arlington Heights Road as a police squad was coming north from Arlington Heights Road and Golf. The police spotted the CRV at Arlington Heights Road and White Oak.

The driver was stopped at Arlington Heights Road and Cedar. The driver was arrested DUI and transported to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters. The driver’s Honda CRV was transported to a police holding area.
