Cook County Highway Dept. to Begin Re-Construction Work on Arlington Heihgts Rd from University Dr to Lake-Cook Rd

The Cook County High Department is scheduled to begin construction work on Arlington Heights Road (Cook County V69) from University Drive to Lake-Cook Road spanning Arlington Heights and Buffalo Grove.

The construction work is scheduled to begin on Monday, March 7, 2011.

The road work involves four-lane reconstruction, patch work and entire replacement work of concrete at a cost of $8,000.

The Cook County Highway Department has maintenance responsibilities for 1,474 lane miles of pavement, 130 bridges, 332 traffic signals and 5 pumping stations from five maintenance garages. According to the Cook County Illinois website, problems within construction zones on County roadway projects can be handled by calling 312-603-1610.
